The biggest orchestra of ringing bicycle bells took place on 23 November 2003 at the University of Leipzig, Germany. Conducted and arranged by Professor Jörg Kärger, 500 people played six pieces of music (including a part of Beethoven’s 9th symphony) on the unusual instruments. 42 players had to play according to their notes, whilst the other participants used a sophisticated system showing them who had to ring their bell by projecting signs on a wall. |
